Field Merchandiser Job, Remote or Union City, CA
Wastebuilt Environmental Solutions stocks and sells parts for most waste handling equipment and heavy-duty fleets in use in the United States. We offer a full line of parts covering the entire range of needs of a refuse fleet including OEM and aftermarket body, chassis, container and compactor parts, hydraulic hose and fittings, maintenance, repair and operating supplies. We focus on satisfying our customers' needs through fast and efficient supply of parts.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. The Ideal candidate must also possess the ability to productively work in a fast-paced environment with priorities that can change quickly. You will support Wastebuilt parts product line for all customer types in an assigned customer territory. You will visit client sites and fill low quantity items. The role will include execution of a Vendor Managed Inventory service that Wastebuilt provides to certain key accounts. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of inventory management systems like that. This position will work closely with the entire parts staff as well as inside support and local operations/service. This is an entry level sales role, willing to train the right individual to get into sales.

• The most important attribute is a strong motivation and ability to solve customer parts problems, regardless of the origin; candidate must have a strong bias toward providing customers with the highest level of service possible, must be tenacious at follow-up.
• Must have a desire and ability to learn a broad range of products as well as other Wastebuilt product lines

• Able to lift, stoop and bend without restriction repeatedly over the course of a shift
• Occasional lifting of 50 lbs.

Skills and Specifications
• 3 years' experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, material handling ideal
• Mechanical aptitude required; experience related to heavy-duty truck maintenance preferred
• Computer literate, with data entry and part look-up skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and corrective action skills.
• Possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail.
