About us
At The Client we develop miniature robots that navigate through tissue, enabling new treatment options for pediatric brain cancer patients that currently have a poor prognosis.
Responsibilities
1. Will report to the Director of Microsystems
2. Will Manage All aspects of relevant in vitro/ex vivo assay development and execution
· Molecular biology: cloning, expression, purification, in vitro assay development
· Cell biology: functional, phenotypic assay development/execution
· QA/QC, statistics
3. Will Manage Internal and external (CRO) projects, be a part of multidisciplinary team conducting both microsurgical and Tx treatment(s) both in vitro and in vivo
4. Will Develop Bioanalytical studies including method development, validation and execution, translation to SOP and GLP/QA/QC format specific or all aspects of GLP studies of Tx including (co)design, statistical justification, SOP protocol writing/oversight
Qualifications
Must
1. Must be knowledgeable of Bio quantification techniques including but not limited to q(RT) PCR, ELISA, FACS, Nano string™
2. Must have Knowledge/experience in working with cells, cell cultures, ex vivo tissues
· Collection, maintenance, proliferation/differentiation, staining, imaging
· Ideally experience within vivo histopathology (murine models, large animals)
3. 7+ years post advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.)
4. Hands-on knowledge of key biotechniques, assay development, validation, optimization, QA/QC
5. Excellent communication skills including presentations, protocol/document writing, SOP prep
Preferred
1. Specific experience with in vivo models of CNS disorders including neuro-oncology, neurodegeneration is preferred
2. Experience of working in a drug discovery environment with demonstrated proficiency in molecular, cell biology;
3. Understanding/working knowledge of key quantification techniques both in vitro/ex vivo and in vivo
4. Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary environment, small/medium drug discovery venues
5. Knowledge/experience of working with murine in vivo models (ex., oncology, neurodegeneration); ideally microsurgery skills (implantations, microinjections);
6. Working understanding of the Tx R&D and development milestones
