Bioprocess Engineer Job in Los Angeles, CA
Salary:
About us:
Meat is delicious, but it comes with baggage—greenhouse gases, environmental degradation, nutritional compromises, and animal welfare concerns. What if meat was created in a way that reverses the ecological impact it's known for? At Omeat, we are rethinking meat and reshaping our world by developing a scalable solution to produce cultured meat, real meat grown from cells outside the animal.
This is where you come in!
Our dynamic team, led by CEO Ali Khademhosseini, one of the top tissue engineers globally (Harvard & MIT), is looking for a
Lead
Bioprocess Engineer
to help plan and build the many stages of our future production and manufacturing facilities.
If you are excited about the idea of moving into the future-forward field of cultivated meat, we will enjoy learning more about you!
Who you are:
You will play a key role in developing cutting-edge technology for the advanced manufacturing of next-generation food. If you are a multi-talented manufacturing specialist who can skillfully interface with pilot-scale and commercial production facilities to ensure effective technology transfer and regulatory filings, this is the opportunity for you. It also requires proven experience designing, executing, and optimizing mammalian cell culture processes at a large scale or similar applicable experience.
Don't worry; you won't be working alone; you will work closely with our team of scientists and developers. You will lead us in your area of expertise but we value collaboration and teamwork.
