We are currently seeking a Correctional Officer who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting. The Correctional Officer performs routine duties in accordance with established policies, regulations and procedures to maintain order and provide for the security, care and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments and during all other phases of activity in a correctional facility.

Overall Job Objective Summary Under supervision from the Airport Manager, this position inspects and maintains the airport facility to ensure safe, secure and efficient airport operations in accordance with operating rules at Ak-Chin Regional Airport. This includes maintaining and repairing airfield facilities; collecting money for sales and issuing receipts and providing customer service to the public. Work areas also includes the adjoining Santa Cruz Commerce Center and Ak-Chin Circle. Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of airport experience that provides the knowledge and skills needed to perform the essential functions of this job classification, or one (1) year of skilled experience in facilities maintenance and repair work. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license and be able to meet the Community's insurance carrier requirements. Must pass a background check. Examples of Duties Communicates face-to-face and/or by radio with airport users, tenants, emergency-response agencies, co-workers, and the public regarding operating rules, regulations, safety procedures, and coordination of vehicular movement in the aircraft movement areas. Explains and enforces airport rules and regulations. Monitors environmental issues, manages hazardous materials, and provides appropriate follow-up; Conducts safety and security inspections in and around the runways, taxiways, aprons perimeter fence, hangars, and related airport landside areas, and challenges unknown people in or entering secured areas. Logs significant events, inspections, maintenance into a daily computer record. Inspects and tests aviation fuel quality and fueling equipment. Assists customers with the self-serve fuel system. Escorts and oversees contracted service providers.

This is a second level position requires 2 years on the job experience as an automotive or truck mechanic experience Performs all other duties as requested by Shop foreman or shop lead mechanic. 2 years verifiable Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper / Associate experience.
