Walmart emphasizes its culture, especially creating exceptional customer service and a great front-line work environment. Their self-proclaimed value is “guided by good” and includes focusing on service to the customer, respecting the individual, striving for excellence, and acting with integrity.

If you are applying for a job at Walmart, it’s a great idea to have this in your back pocket to sprinkle throughout your interview answers. Since their focus is heaviest on customer experience, be sure you articulate how you think about creating an exceptional customer experience for clients.

Walmart also stresses its advocacy for diversity. They believe in inclusion for all, and this is especially important if you are applying for a management position within the company. You’ll want to make sure you discuss diversity and inclusion in your interview, as this is a key consideration Walmart will want to make sure their employees have.

The application process for Walmart is pretty straightforward but may differ depending on the job you are applying for. For applications for stores and clubs, the process is as follows:

  1. Complete your application and submit it. Once submitted, the facilities you chose will receive your application and details.

  2. Next, an individual from the Walmart team will look through the applications submitted for the job at hand.   • Work experience. The last section will probe your work experience and ask questions to judge performance. This section consists of 12 questions.
